Using a Registered Migration Agent

In Australia, individuals who provide migration advice or migration assistance must be registered with the Officer of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA).

A Registered Migration Agent (RMA) can advise on visa requirements, help you lodge a visa application and deal with the Department of Immigration & Border Protection (DIBP) on your behalf.

If you choose to seek migration advice it is important that a Registered Migration Agent is used. It is illegal in Australia to give advice about migration to Australia without being registered with MARA. There are heavy penalties for giving immigration assistance without being registered. Unregistered persons may try to take advantage of your situation and provide incorrect information and false hopes, such as guaranteeing you a visa.

RMAs must meet the qualification requirements for registration, complete ongoing professional development, be of good character, and importantly, abide by the Migration Agents  Code of Conduct .

Contact the iQ Australia team and let us assist you to achieve your goals.
